Refund policy

HOUSE & POEM, represented by Maia Marguerite, remains your point of contact for all return and refund requests.

Requesting a return

For standard furniture purchased remotely, you have 14 days starting the day after receipt to notify us that you wish to withdraw from your purchase, without giving a reason. For an order delivered in installments, the period begins when you receive the last item.

Email maiamarguerite7@gmail.com or use your customer account when the return function is available for your order. Include your order number and the furniture concerned. A clear statement is sufficient: exercising your right does not depend on the supplier's prior approval.

Return costs and arrangements

HOUSE & POEM covers return shipping costs under this policy. No restocking fee applies. This commitment is made by our store and does not mean that every supplier offers free returns.

We verify the correct recipient for your item and provide the appropriate address and instructions. Depending on the furniture and supplier, a return may be handled at a different center; multiple items may need separate shipments. For large furniture, shipping or pickup is arranged with our customer service team.

Do not send furniture back to the address on the package or to our administrative address without instructions. Contact us for shipping instructions, but do not delay notifying us of your withdrawal. We will not require you to send an item to an unverified recipient.

Preparing your furniture

Send the item back no later than 14 days after your notice, unless we offer to collect it ourselves. Protect it carefully and include the parts, accessories, and instructions received. Keep proof of shipment or pickup and the tracking details. Handling that is necessary to examine the furniture does not exclude the right of withdrawal.

Refunds

We refund the amounts owed, including the original standard shipping charge, no later than 14 days after being informed of your withdrawal, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method at no additional cost. Unless we collect the item ourselves, we may withhold the refund until we receive the item or evidence that it has been shipped, whichever occurs first.

Damaged or nonconforming furniture

Contact us with your order number and a description of the problem. Photos can help us process your request. Statutory guarantees apply independently of the withdrawal period and the supplier's terms. You do not have to resolve a dispute with the supplier on your own.
