Terms of sale

Seller and contact details

Sales on houseandpoem.com are offered by Maia Marguerite, trading as HOUSE & POEM. Mailing address: 37 Avenue du Colonel Fabien, 94400 Vitry-sur-Seine, France. Contact: maiamarguerite7@gmail.com. This administrative address is not a furniture return address. The business registration number has not yet been assigned; the legal notice will be updated once it is assigned.

Products, availability, and prices

Features, dimensions, materials, variants, and prices are shown on each product page. Decorative accessories shown in photos are included only when the description expressly says so. Offers are subject to the availability displayed. Out-of-stock variants cannot be ordered.

Prices are stated in euros. The checkout summary shows the total amount due and any applicable taxes. Standard shipping is free for supported addresses in France, with no minimum purchase. The applicable price is the price displayed when the order is confirmed.

Orders and payment

Choose your product, variant, and quantity, then add them to your cart. Check the items, your contact details, shipping address, and total before confirming your purchase. You can correct this information before final confirmation. Payment is due when you order, using one of the methods offered in Shopify's secure checkout. Final confirmation creates an obligation to pay. An order summary is sent to the email address provided.

If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and refund the corresponding amount; no replacement product will be imposed.

Shipping

Orders ship directly from our suppliers and may arrive in separate packages. Delivery is available only to destinations offered at checkout. See our shipping policy and the information on your product page. Tracking details are shared as soon as we receive the carrier's information.

If no delivery period has been agreed, delivery must take place within 30 days of the order. In the event of a delay, contact us: you may request delivery within a reasonable additional period and then terminate the contract as provided by law. This additional period is not required where the law allows immediate termination. Amounts owed are refunded within 14 days of termination.

Withdrawal and returns

For standard furniture, you have 14 days from receipt to notify us of your withdrawal. For a split delivery, this period starts on receipt of the last item. A clear statement by email is sufficient. The form, return arrangements, and refund rules are set out in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

HOUSE & POEM covers return costs under that policy. Contact us to arrange shipping and confirm the appropriate recipient. No restocking fee applies.

Statutory guarantees

HOUSE & POEM is responsible for lack of conformity and hidden defects under the applicable statutory conditions. The statutory guarantee of conformity may be exercised for two years from delivery. For new goods, a defect that appears during this period is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless proven otherwise.

You may request repair or replacement at no cost, subject to the conditions provided by law. The goods must be brought into conformity within 30 days and without significant inconvenience. A price reduction or termination of the contract is available in the cases provided by law. The guarantee against hidden defects may be exercised within two years of discovering the defect, under Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code. Send requests to our customer service team; you do not have to resolve a dispute with the supplier on your own.

Complaints and personal data

For complaints, email our customer service team and include your order number. The amicable and judicial remedies provided by law remain available. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights. Information about your data is set out in our privacy policy.
